SYMCRAFT at EMTC 2026 in Graz
The European Master Tailor Congress 2026 took place in Graz from May 14 to 17 and brought together some 160 bespoke tailors, fashion experts, and industry representatives from across Europe. On May 15, the focus was on a wide range of topics related to the tailoring trade, such as new techniques, historical fabric patterns, CAD/3D applications, sustainability issues, and artificial intelligence in everyday business operations.

In addition to the keynote presentations by Patricia Zethofer and Heidrun Bichler-Ripfel from the IAGF on the use of AI applications in day-to-day operations, the Interreg project SYMCRAFT was also presented.
In addition, the IAGF provided information about the planned upcycling workshops and summer courses for 2026 at the Textile Center in Haslach, which will focus intensively on recycling, upcycling, and innovative material processing. The courses offer professionals from the fields of crafts, design, and the textile industry the opportunity to learn new techniques and test concrete approaches to sustainable product development.
This helped raise awareness of SYMCRAFT among an expert audience in the tailoring and textile trades and further spread the word about it.
