Presentation of the EU project LV4WW
The EU-funded LV4WW project aims to revive old work virtues - such as reliability, a sense of responsibility, collegiality and a sense of purpose - and combine them with modern tools. The aim is to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to implement sustainable workplace innovations and prepare for the working world of tomorrow.
The shortage of skilled workers is currently one of the biggest challenges in Europe. This is precisely where LV4WW comes in: By developing innovative qualification offers, practical toolsets and international cooperation, the project strengthens the innovative capacity, productivity and competitiveness of SMEs.
Three guiding principles are at the heart of this:
- Workplace innovations as the key to motivation and productivity
Employees should experience their work as meaningful, be able to help shape it and use modern technologies to work more efficiently and healthily. - Building bridges between the generations
The revival of old work habits promotes the transfer of experience from older employees to the younger generation - and vice versa, Generation Z brings new values, digital skills and expectations. - International cooperation as a driver of innovation
A total of 8 partners from 7 countries - including the Institute for Applied Industrial Research - are working together to exchange good practices and jointly develop tools for sustainable HR development in SMEs.
Concrete results of the project will include
- Scenarios for the working world of tomorrow
- Analysis of old work virtues and their relevance for SMEs
- Toolbox for workplace innovations
- Curriculum and training programs for SME owners, managers and mentors
- Measures for international cooperation and dissemination of project results
Who does the project want to reach?
The main target group is small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 50 employees. LV4WW is also aimed at:
- Owners and managers who want to implement modern HR tools
- young people in orientation or embarking on a career
- Older employees who act as mentors
- Education providers, chambers and political decision-makers
LV4WW makes a concrete contribution to securing the supply of skilled workers - through a modern understanding of work that focuses on both productivity and meaningfulness. The IAGF is contributing its expertise in the areas of qualification, mentoring and international cooperation to the project.
