3LoE makes it happen -
The final meeting of the 3LoE project took place in Riga from September 3 to 5, 2024. The hosts, including the Rīgas Stradiņa Universitāte (RSU) and the Latvian Chamber of Crafts (LAK), did their best to show the project partners the most beautiful sides of their home country.
Outstanding results
The results are impressive: the 3LoE family has grown considerably!
22 partners from seven countries with seven CoVEs (Centers of Vocational Excellence) created an international collaboration between 70 institutions from 14 countries, including 50 chambers of commerce, SME associations, vocational training providers and vocational schools as well as 20 universities!

8 CoVEs
The 8 CoVEs - the pioneers of innovative educational measures - are setting new standards in vocational education and training. A CoVE is a cooperation between education providers (universities and vocational schools) and company representatives (e.g. chambers). This ensures that vocational training is continuously developed - from initial training to higher education.
Learning from each other is the focus here - and for a lifetime! This is the guiding principle of the project, the guiding principle of the 8 CoVEs!
Learning from each other - best practices of the CoVEs
Poland
The Polish CoVE is committed to keeping pupils and students in the city and providing them with the best possible theoretical and practical training. The Pomeranian University of Slupsk is taking an unconventional, direct approach: it is taking the first step and knocking on companies' doors in order to forge new collaborations in education. Numerous activities with pupils and students bring the topics of "sustainable cities" and "green economy" closer in a practical and fun way.
Germany
Germany has once again set an example with its two CoVes! The Hamburg University of Cooperative Education in particular has set an example with its dual study programs. On the one hand, they combine intensive practical vocational training with academic education. In addition, they offer graduates a double degree in four years: a vocational qualification and an academic degree in the form of a Bachelor's degree.
Austria
In Austria, CoVE also focuses on practice-oriented, permeable vocational training - from apprenticeships to university. These offer apprentices better prospects and are specially designed for the green economy, such as training to become a service technician.
3LoE makes it happen - even after the end of the project it continues!
The close cooperation between the 8 CoVEs and 70 associated partners will continue in the future under the coordination of the Hanseatic Parliament.
