Future of work: How is AI changing our working world?
The impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the world of work was the subject of intense discussion at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) economics symposium.
The focus was on the importance of the human perspective in the development of AI, the increasing relevance of AI skills on the labor market, but also on the legal framework and the methodological challenges of AI and big data.
The speakers also emphasized that AI not only supports large companies, but also opens up new opportunities for small businesses. In particular, the presentation "New ways for small businesses with AI" by Dr. Madeleine Block from the Institute for Applied Business Research showed in a practical way how craft businesses can benefit from AI applications, be it through more efficient work processes or improved customer service.
The key is to familiarize yourself with the possibilities of AI and to have the courage to use the first AI tools. In this way, small businesses in trade and commerce can also benefit from the advantages of digitalization and secure their competitiveness.
