UNESCO study on
traditional crafts in Austria
The present study "TRADITIONAL CRAFTMANSHIP AS INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE AND ECONOMIC FACTOR IN AUSTRIA" is the first survey on the status of traditional crafts in Austria. Based on qualitatively and quantitatively collected data, it includes definition and analysis of the parameters of traditional crafts, their degree of endangerment and their cultural-political and economic significance in the future. Thus, the study makes an essential contribution to an appreciative perception of traditional crafts as cultural heritage and economic factor.
